Coffee Cup Reader (“Coffee Cup Reader”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is an entertainment application that provides coffee cup reading and symbolic interpretations.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Coffee Cup Reader processes, how it is used, how it is shared with service providers, and what choices you have.

By using Coffee Cup Reader, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Process

Coffee Cup Images

When you request a coffee cup reading, you may provide an image of your coffee cup.

The image is used only to generate your requested reading.

Coffee Cup Reader does not store your coffee cup image in our own database or use it to create a personal profile.

The image may be transmitted securely to our third-party AI service provider, OpenAI, for the purpose of analyzing the image and generating the requested reading.

We do not use your coffee cup image for advertising.

Reflection Questions

Coffee Cup Reader may allow you to provide an optional question or topic for your reading.

If you provide a question, it is transmitted together with the temporary image to our AI service provider to generate your requested reading.

We do not intentionally store reflection questions in our database.

Please do not include sensitive personal information, passwords, financial information, health information, or other confidential information in a reflection question.

2. AI Processing

Coffee Cup Reader uses OpenAI’s API to process coffee cup images and, where provided, reflection questions in order to generate reading results.

The information sent to OpenAI is used to provide the requested AI service.

Our application does not use your coffee cup images or questions for advertising or marketing.

OpenAI’s API services have their own privacy, security, retention, and abuse-prevention practices. According to OpenAI’s current API policies, API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI’s models by default unless the customer explicitly opts in to data sharing for model improvement.

OpenAI may retain certain API data for a limited period for purposes such as providing the service, security, and abuse prevention, subject to OpenAI’s applicable policies and retention controls.

3. Advertising

Coffee Cup Reader uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements, Firebase Analytics to measure app usage and selected in-app interactions, and Meta App Events to measure app installs, opens, attribution, and selected in-app interactions.

Google Mobile Ads, Firebase Analytics, and Meta may collect and process certain information from your device and your interactions with the app for purposes including advertising, attribution, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and service improvement.

Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and applicable advertising settings, information processed by Google may include device or other identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and advertising-related information.

Coffee Cup Reader does not sell your personal information.

4. Information We Store

Coffee Cup Reader is designed to minimize the information stored by us.

We do not intentionally store:

Coffee cup images and reading questions are intended to be processed temporarily for the purpose of generating your requested reading.

We do not intentionally retain these materials in our own application database after processing is complete.

However, third-party service providers, including OpenAI and Google, may process or retain information according to their own applicable policies and technical requirements.

The retention period may therefore differ between Coffee Cup Reader and the third-party services used to provide the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may transmit information to third-party service providers when necessary to provide or protect Coffee Cup Reader, including:

Used to process coffee cup images and optional questions and generate AI-powered reading results.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information transmitted through Coffee Cup Reader.

Data transmitted between Coffee Cup Reader and our servers or service providers is sent using encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS where supported.

However, no method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can choose whether to use the coffee cup reading feature.

You should not submit information that you do not want to be processed by the services required to provide the reading.
